I am a North London based cross-disciplinary artist who enjoys making work within a socially engaged practice. I have appeared nationally and internationally in events, platforms and exhibitions, working collaboratively and individually with culturally diverse communities and audiences.

I am interested in making work that discusses the ‘body’ as site of representation and I use my ‘body’ as a vehicle to explore the boundary between artist and audience. The theme my work is concerned with develops from the domestic and the context of ‘home’. I am drawn to the ‘domestic’ because it speaks of ‘preparation’ and ‘nurture’, actions that have the power to go beyond the body; they are about ‘love’ and ‘caring’ and transcend the physical.

I am blessed by the rich lineage of female performance artists down the decades, at least from the 60s onwards, who have made work in the ‘domestic’ vein. In my work I always try to question how I can move beyond the issue of gender, it is really important to me to acknowledge what it is to be ‘human’.
